Join us this Friday, September 28 at 7:30 p.m. when our Academy classes will resume.

Dr. Riddlebarger will return to our lecture/discussion series based upon Allen Guelzo's Teaching Company Course, The American Mind.  Our lecture this week is "Science Under the Cloud"  (the atomic age).

“The development of the atomic bomb was both a tremendous public achievement for American scientists and the origin of a serious moral dilemma — all the more so since the culture of American science was built around the conviction that moral dilemmas were unscientific” Allen Guelzo

Ladies' Book Club: September 22, 2018

The next Ladies’ Book Club meeting will be held on Saturday, September 22 at 1:00 p.m.  At the home of the Szucs family.

Our book for discussion will be The Morrow of Modern Divinity. “The Marrow of Modern Divinity was a scandal when it was first presented to the reading public in the mid-17th century. In this book, Edward Fisher wrote under the pseudonym "E.F." boldly proclaiming the Calvinistic doctrines of grace and the free offer of the gospel. Most accented of the themes is his treatment of unconditional election–over and against the throes of legalism and antinomianism of his day. Take up this book and find out just how liberating the doctrines of grace can be!”

To RSVP for the Ladies’ Book Club please send an E-mail to the church office (urcanaheim@aol.com).
